1. What is the “Send Your Message to the Moon” campaign?
Space Age Publishing Company and the International Lunar Observatory Association (ILOA) offer the chance to send your name and a 100-character message to land on the lunar surface for $50 USD. Your message will join the Astrolab FLIP mission (mid 2026) and the ILOA ILO-1 mission via the FLEX rover (2026–2027).

2. How will my message “land” on the Moon?
Messages are stored on a data module with a current edition of Space Calendar before the Astrolab FLIP rover and the ILO-1 missions launch. Both of these missions will attempt to land in the Moon South Pole region. Your name and message will in effect touch the Moon, and remain there forever (or until Astronauts repurpose or recycle the hardware)!

3. What can I send to the Moon, and how much does it cost?
For $50 USD, you can send your name and a 100-character text message (including spaces). Additional text lengths (125, 275, 600, 1500, or 2500 characters) and formats such as images, logos, audio, video, or physical engravings will have pricing announced soon.

4. What are the benefits of reserving a spot now?

  • Exclusive Access: Receive first-look images from the ILO-1 mission’s advanced imaging of stars and lunar vistas.
  • Insider Information: Via email, you will receive periodic updates with the latest news about the lunar missions connected to the Moon Message campaign.
  • Low Rates: Secure the $50 rate before it increases (possibly doubles) in 2026 and 2027.
  • Digital Keepsake: Get a complimentary digital certificate with your message displayed.
  • Website Feature: Your message may be shared on Space Age’s website for friends, family, or colleagues to see.
  • Bonus Missions: Your message will join three additional lunar landing missions planned for 2025–2026.
  • Early Discounts: Gain exclusive discounts on future two-way Moon communications.

5. What missions will carry my message?

  • Astrolab FLIP Mission (mid-2026): Lands at the Moon’s South Pole (Nobile region) with your name and 100-character message.
  • ILOA ILO-1 Mission (2027): Delivered by the Astrolab FLEX rover, this observatory will capture images and transmit data, including your message, back to Earth.
  • Additional Missions: Your message may be included in other lunar landings planned for 2026-2027.
Note: The ILO-X mission successfully landed a Space Calendar Lunar Prototype on the Moon in February 2024.

6. Can I send more than just text?
Space Age will soon offer options for images, logos, audio, video, and physical engravings, with pricing to be announced. These formats allow you to boost your brand, amplify your message, or honor loved ones on the lunar frontier.

7. Are there opportunities for businesses, nonprofits, or schools?
Yes, Space Age is developing commercial enterprise packages, nonprofit rates, and discounts for schools/academia. Corporate sponsorships for repeated transmissions and custom exchanges are also available. Contact Space Age to propose ideas or partnerships.

8. How can I amplify my message with Space Age?

  • Repeated Transmissions: After the ILO-1 mission, send messages weekly or monthly for personal (e.g., “Happy Birthday”) or professional events (e.g., “Join Our Annual Event”).
  • Space Calendar Features: Include event logos, promotional images, or 200-400 word articles in the Space Calendar, or send a custom document with images to/from the Moon.
  • Advertising: Promote events with quarter, half, or full-page ads in the Space Calendar or as standalone documents.
  • Branding Opportunities: Boost your brand or honor loved ones by inscribing your legacy on the lunar surface.

9. Why should I act now?
Submitting soon ensures your message joins the Astrolab FLIP mission in mid-2026. Early participation secures the lowest $50 USD rate, includes your message in the ILO-1 mission in 2027, and grants access to exclusive ILO-1 images and future discounts. Your words will shape lunar history!
