Live Chat with Veteran NASA Astronaut Leland Melvin
Astronaut Scholarship Foundation presents a Live Chat with veteran NASA Astronaut Leland Melvin on Thursday, September 25th at 1:00 PM ET for students in 3rd-12th grades and their educators/parents/guardians. This Live Chat series is presented in the memory of Scott Carpenter, one of the original Mercury Seven Astronauts and a founding member of the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation. He believed in the importance of education and inspiring future generations to pursue their passions in STEM fields. During the Live Chat, Leland will share his stories with your children and/or students, inspiring them to dream big and explore the unknown. Your children and/or students will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions with a real-life astronaut, which will undoubtedly spark their curiosity about STEM fields beyond just aerospace. Melvin is also author of the book Space Chasers.
